I have little, to no experience with educational technology. I don’t have a lot of experience in the classroom since I haven’t done my pre-internship or internship yet. I have only been in the classroom a few times. During this class I am learning that there is a lot of education technologies for teachers to use in the classroom. The one app that I am looking at is Plickers. Since I have no experience I could have chosen any from the list we were given.
Plickers is a great app to use in the classroom because the students don’t know what the other students answered. When a teacher asks a question the students put up a piece of paper with symbols on them (which is either A, B, C,or D) and the teacher takes a picture of it through the app.
Since the teacher takes the picture the other students don’t see what their peers have answered. So, that means the students can get a question wrong without being embarrassed. I think this is a great app to get the answers from students right away. Also it is engaging for the teacher and students to use together. It seems like an easy and fast app to use in the classroom.
